It all started in 1950

Ammeraal Beltech story begins with one extraordinary new baking belt named AmDough capable of high performance in extreme conditions, developed for the Bakery Industry by Thomas Ammeraal in 1950. On the strength of this innovative product, he founded Ammeraal.

Ammeraal expanded beyond Dutch borders, opening operations in Germany; more countries soon followed.

1990

The company became part of Gamma Holding, and it was Gamma that later acquired Verseidag AG and merged its belting subsidiary with Ammeraal to form Ammeraal Beltech.

1994 – Acquisition of Bondabelt (United Kingdom)

Bondabelt, a UK-based manufacturer of process and conveyor belting, became part of Ammeraal's growing international network. The acquisition strengthened the company's position in the British market and expanded local manufacturing, fabrication, and service capabilities.

1997 – Acquisition of Chemprene (United States)

Ammeraal acquired Chemprene, a well-established manufacturer of lightweight rubber belts and rubber-coated textiles based in Beacon, New York. Chemprene brought decades of expertise in rubber materials, coated fabrics, and specialty belting products.

A major milestone came when Ammeraal merged with Verseidag Beltech. As part of the Verseidag Beltech merger, Ammeraal Beltech gained the RAPPLON® brand, a Swiss manufacturer renowned for high-performance flat belts, and Burrell, recognized for specialized woven and conveyor belt solutions.

2008 – Acquisition of uni-chains A/S (Denmark)
